# ApiKeyEnvironment

A model the API reference uses in a request or a response. The operation pages link every field typed as this model here.

Which of a merchant's two worlds a key is meant to act in: the processor's test host, or the
live one. This is the key's own two-state view, and it is what the `sk_test_` /
`sk_live_` prefix on the key value spells out to whoever is holding it.

## Values

| Value | Description |
| --- | --- |
| `Test` | The key acts against the processor's test host. No live money moves. Minted with the sk_test_ prefix. |
| `Live` | The key acts against the processor's live host. Minted with the sk_live_ prefix. |
