# BinCountryMismatchSettings

A model the API reference uses in a request or a response. The operation pages link every field typed as this model here.

The country comparisons. Three countries can be known for a card transaction: the card issuer's
country from the card's BIN, the billing address country, and the country resolved from the
cardholder IP address. Each comparison is judged only when both of its countries are known, so a
missing or unreadable country never flags a transaction. The billing country may be sent as a
two-letter code, a three-letter code or an English country name.
