# CardTestingBackstopOverride

A model the API reference uses in a request or a response. The operation pages link every field typed as this model here.

A merchant's override of the platform card-testing backstop mode. Absent (null) inherits the
platform mode.

## Values

| Value | Description |
| --- | --- |
| `Off` | Count nothing for this merchant: no window, no detection, no enforcement. |
| `Observe` | Count and detect for this merchant, and alert on an attack, but never refuse or stop one of its transactions, even when the platform enforces. |
