# HppShippingQuoteFailureBehavior

A model the API reference uses in a request or a response. The operation pages link every field typed as this model here.

What a `ProviderCalculated` hosted payment page does when no
carrier rate can be quoted for the shopper's address: the provider is slow or unreachable, the
merchant's binding or ship-from defaults are missing, or no carrier serves the lane.

## Values

| Value | Description |
| --- | --- |
| `BlockPayment` | The payment cannot be taken until a rate is quoted. The default, and what a persisted null coalesces to: the safest reading of a page that never chose. |
| `ChargeFallbackAmount` | The page charges its configured fallback shipping amount (shippingFallbackAmount), which may be zero. |
| `ChargeNoShipping` | The payment proceeds with no shipping charged. |
