# PlaceSurchargePromotionHoldDto

A model the API reference uses in a request or a response. The operation pages link every field typed as this model here.

Input for placing an explicit promotion hold on a merchant's surcharge configuration: the sweep,
a manual enable and force enable all refuse to promote it until the hold is released.

## Fields
- `reason` (string): Why the promotion is being withheld, recorded on the configuration and shown to anyone reading  it. Optional: the hold is in force whether or not a reason was given. (nullable, max length 500)
