# TenderKind

A model the API reference uses in a request or a response. The operation pages link every field typed as this model here.

Identifies the tender the API caller, VT user, or HPP cardholder is declaring for a
transaction, where the tender cannot be read off a payment instrument on the request.

## Values

| Value | Description |
| --- | --- |
| `Cash` | Cash taken at the point of sale. Resolved against the merchant's cash processor profile, auto-approved with no processor call, and settled into its own daily cash batch. |
